As students move through junior high school and into senior high school, their work becomes increasingly independent. Senior high school courses are designed for students targeting a four-year university, a local community college, or an immediate career.
Many senior high school courses are offered at two levels: on-level and honors.
In both on-level and honors senior high school courses, students:
- Learn grade-level content
- Complete coursework that might require writing or research projects
- Tackle problems that require analytical thinking
In honors courses, students also:
- Evaluate and synthesize information
- Demonstrate more advanced writing skills
- Participate in honors projects
Stride Career Prep
Your teen can gain a competitive edge for the future—whether that includes college, a career, or both. Stride Career Prep gives students the opportunity to explore career options and take part in specialized, career-related experiences. Students can choose from a broad range of courses in these career fields: Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources; Arts, AV, Technology, and Communications; Business and Marketing; Education and Training; Health Services; Information Technology; and Public Safety. They can also prepare to take industry-recognized certification exams upon graduation.**
Credit Recovery
Credit recovery courses are mastery-based and allow students to focus on the areas they need to review most in order to recover credits at an accelerated pace.

Dual College and High School Credit at INDLS Saves Time and Money
Through partnerships with Indiana University (ACP), Ball State University, and Ivy Tech Community College, qualifying INDLS students can take courses for high school credit, college credit, or both—tuition-free! Students in good academic standing may be eligible for one college course per semester. INDLS is committed to differentiating each student's academic journey and making full use of our cooperating institutions' course catalogs.

What is dual credit?
Dual credit classes allow qualified students to apply credit earned at a partner institution to both their high school diploma and postsecondary degree. Individual institutions may require additional prerequisites for enrolling in dual credit.
Is there a tuition requirement for dual credit?
INDLS will pay for one dual credit course per semester per student if the course is taken at a partner school.

How do I enroll my student in dual credit courses with INDLS?
First, you need to enroll your student at INDLS. Then, talk to your school counselor about the process of registering for dual credit.
*The Stride K12 high school catalog is a complete list of the high school courses Stride K12 provides. While INDLS offers a comprehensive selection of courses, not every Stride K12 high school course is available to INDLS students. We provide a limited selection of electives but will continue to expand our offerings. Information on specific courses of study and available electives are provided upon enrollment. For details, please speak to an enrollment consultant during the enrollment process.
**Many Microsoft®️ Office certificates can be earned after completing one course. Other certificates require more classes to be better prepared, and students who participate in the program for at least two years will have further preparation for certification testing.
