A Day in the Life of INDLS’s Kylee, Olympic Diving Hopeful and Aspiring Pilot
The 2032 Olympic Games will be held in Brisbane, Australia, and Kylee plans to be there. At just 13 years old, she’s been training for the past year and a half as a diver at Ripfest Diving Academy in Arcadia, Indiana.
Kylee has a robust six-day-per-week training schedule. She lives an hour away from the diving facility. With 10-hour-minimum days during the week, Indiana Digital Learning School (INDLS), allows her the necessary flexibility to complete schoolwork at times that work best for her. Her family chose INDLS when she started first grade for the school’s curriculum and adaptable schedule.

“INDLS gives me the ability to train during the day without sacrificing my education,” said Kylee.
Kylee leverages INDLS’s Flex program to set her own structures and schedules for learning. She starts her day at 5 a.m. and spends six hours training — a regimen that includes stretching, practicing flips and dives, strength training, conditioning, weightlifting, and pilates — before beginning her schoolwork.
The long hours committed to training are paying off. Kylee has competed in USA Diving Regional and Zone Championships, as well as AAU Regionals. This year, Kylee has AAU Regionals at the end of March to qualify for AAU Nationals in Florida. She also has USA Diving Regionals and Zones in April and June and is hoping to qualify for the USA Junior Diving Nationals.
“It’s a very long journey [to get to the Olympics],” she says. “Lots and lots more training and competitions I have to qualify for. I am currently training with several Olympic hopefuls for the 2028 Olympics, but I’m hoping the 2032 Olympics will be the one for me.”
And after the Olympics? Once a month on Sundays, Kylee is pursuing another passion: getting hours toward her pilot license.
“I am in flight school with BoldFlight working towards my pilot license, which I can get when I’m 17. After diving, I plan on joining the Navy as a fighter pilot, and hope to one day be a Blue Angel.”
And we’ll be cheering for you every step of the way, Kylee!
